Making Disciples through Sport

Within The United Kingdom Territory with The Republic of Ireland, we are encouraging people to look for and think about ways that they can use sport as an arena for mission.

We are trying to empower volunteers to connect their passion for Jesus with their love of sport, providing fresh opportunities of ministry which is opening new doors and beginning new relationships in the lives of people within communities across this country.

We have the opportunity to serve and connect with every city, town and community through people’s love of sport and play. But we have to be willing to commit to the sizeable task that is ours of trying to make disciples through sport.


When you hear the three words READY, SET, GO does it make you think of the beginning of a competitive race? In the sports movement these three words describe ‘our’ race of following Christ and making disciples through sport.


Ready is the process of gathering and envisioning people to make disciples through sport and play, within our denomination and beyond!


Preparing and equipping everyone to be a disciple maker through training weekends, gatherings and at events across the country.


Giving everyone strategies to get out into our communities and make a positive difference using sport as a mission tool.

Meet Rob Moye

Rob is the Sports Mission Specialist for the United Kingdom Territory with The Republic of Ireland. His passion and belief is that people can change the world bit by bit by creating positive environments in their own ‘square mile’ through sport and play. His aim is to help our church engage with sport and inspire a long term legacy of sports mission and ministry.
